3450 sq. ft. - Accommodates 8 - 3 Bedrooms - 4.5 Bathrooms

Modern and Spacious Lake Tahoe Home

1865 Tahoe Park Heights Drive is a private lakeview vacation home located in the beautiful Talmont area near Tahoe City. Perched above the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California, this 3 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 3,450 sq. foot home has spectacular unobstructed views of Lake Tahoe and its surrounding mountains and canyons. Contemporary design, modern furnishings, and a full range of features makes this an exquisite luxury rental.

Enter this home at street level through a grand cedar and clear glass, 8-foot door and descend the curved stairway to the multi-level living wing. Summer or winter you’ll be greeted with floor-to-ceiling multi-story windows bathing the home with the more than 300 days of sunshine that grace Tahoe. Enter any of the tastefully decorated bedrooms to catch a glimpse of the don’t-even-lift-your-head-off-the-pillow views. Then continue to the living area where multiple fireplaces, a cooking aficionado's kitchen, and inviting living and dining spaces await you.

The home sleeps six in bedrooms and can sleep up to eight with the two ottoman hide-a-twin beds in the open-plan loft. The loft also features a large steam shower bathroom, pool table, and like the rest of the house, panoramic lake and canyon views that may distract you from your game.

1865 Tahoe Park Heights is located less than ten miles from Squaw, Alpine and Homewood ski resorts and is close to Tahoe City and some of the lake's finest dining and entertaining. Paige meadows, a wilderness area for cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking, is less than a mile up the road. A large two-car garage, convenience to ski resorts, and the homeowner’s association beach and piers make this an ideal year-round rental.

Guest Reviews

We are repeat guests!

My husband and I are repeat guests. We won't stay anywhere else in the Tahoe area. We just love Lynn's home. The view is absolutely spectacular...from every room in the house. The moment we enter the home and see the unobstructed view of the lake we just melt into the scene. We have that instant zen moment that's never-ending. We almost feel guilty for feeling so at peace. But we get over it and allow the calm to take us away. Another thing that's striking about the home is the quietness. The silence envelops you to the core. Usually, on vacation, it takes me a couple of days before I get into "vacation mode." But at Lynn's home I reach vacation mode the day I arrive. It's wonderful. About the property: The home is spotless and well-maintained, bright and airy, and is turn-key. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and designed for flawless entertaining. The deck is outstanding!!!! It's large and takes full advantage of the unbelievable view. Bathrooms and bedrooms have excellent lighting, high-end luxury linens and beddings, blow dryers...everything you need. Master bedroom has an awesome walk-in closet. There's a large laundry room downstairs which also houses a sauna. We love the pool table in the loft. There's even a wet bar next to the master bedroom. About the property owner: Lynn is so easy to deal with. Very responsive. Very professional. Very tuned into her guests. About the property location: It's close to Tahoe City shops and restaurants, but far enough away that the home still maintains its peace and seclusion. The property is situated on the hill side so there aren't any neighbors in front of the view and only one neighbor to the side (whom was very respectful of the space). We never heard a peep from them. Close to public tennis courts, bike trails, hiking. It's also close to Squaw Valley which is key for us. We absolutely recommend Lynn's home to anyone looking for true rest and relaxation.

Wonderful visit!

We had a wonderful time on our trip and really enjoyed Lynn's home! It exceeded our expectations! Lynn has thought of every little detail and it truly feels like a home away from home. The views are breathtaking from every room. We are looking forward to many more visits in the future!

Our Top Spots for Dining

Wolfdale's. Wolfdale’s blends the flavors of the West and the Far East to create “Cuisine Unique”. The fabulous food combinations and lakeside atmosphere make this restaurant our absolute favorite in the entire Tahoe basin. Tell Jan the head waiter and sommelier you are renting with us and ask her to help you pick the wine for your meal. Located in downtown Tahoe City, lakeside across the street from the Pepper Tree Inn. (530) 583-5700

Tahoe House. Located less than a mile from the house on highway 89, Tahoe house makes great lattes and cappuccinos, with homemade breads and pastries to match. They also have a great spread of gourmet-take away for a quick and easy après-ski or après-lake meal. Sit by the fire in the winter and outside on the patio in the summer. (530) 583-1377

Firesign Café. Located near Sunnyside, at the bottom of the hill from the house. Drive down in two minutes, or walk down for some brisk exercise in the summer. Firesign is the place to go for cooked breakfasts and lunches that are healthy. Try their pecan waffles. The restaurant is a favorite with the locals so you may have to wait if you don't get there early. (530) 583-0871

Rubicon Deli. A hidden Gem in the Tahoe Tree Nursery on Highway 89, the Rubicon Deli serves sandwiches big enough to split with homemade breads and spreads that create great combinations! Turn on Grandlibakken Rd. and park at the Tahoe Tree Company to access the deli. (530) 583-0579

About Us

After 20 years in the San FrancisCo Bay Area, we moved to Lake Tahoe for a simpler life. We purchased this home in 1999 and after two years of planning and permitting did an extensive remodel. Because it has such incredible views of the lake, (and hence can be seen from the lake) we had to get special building permissions from a bi-state agency called Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The house already had contemporary elements and we decided to retain and build on these.

In this home there is little need for a "mountain decor.” Snow capped mountains, forests, hawks dancing in mid-air at eye level and The Lake are so dominant in the views that the mountain theme envelopes the house and becomes natural mountain decor sitting in minimalist design and decor. You'll find this home gives you as sense of relaxation in luxury. While there are TV's in all bedrooms, the kitchen, and the living room you'll find the ever-changing views of the lake are mesmerizing. They connect you to nature in an ever-relaxing way!

Springtime brings views of sail boats flitting across the lake. Sumertime lake traffic increases, with sea-planes, the daily trips of the old paddle steamer and speedboats. In Fall, along Ward Creek, which sits below the house you can see a golden shimmering ribbon of the Aspen foliage. These water-loving trees grow along the banks of the creek, tracing a natural ribbon of light green in Spring and gold in Fall. And in winter, after sun-down you can see the lights of the snow cats working the slopes of Heavenly ski resort far in the distance across the lake.

These are just some of the reasons we love this house, our family and friends love it and why we have so many repeat guests.
