Our Top Spots for Dining
Wolfdale's. Wolfdale’s blends the flavors of the West and the Far East to create “Cuisine Unique”. The fabulous food combinations and lakeside atmosphere make this restaurant our absolute favorite in the entire Tahoe basin. Tell Jan the head waiter and sommelier you are renting with us and ask her to help you pick the wine for your meal. Located in downtown Tahoe City, lakeside across the street from the Pepper Tree Inn. (530) 583-5700
Tahoe House. Located less than a mile from the house on highway 89, Tahoe house makes great lattes and cappuccinos, with homemade breads and pastries to match. They also have a great spread of gourmet-take away for a quick and easy après-ski or après-lake meal. Sit by the fire in the winter and outside on the patio in the summer. (530) 583-1377
Firesign Café. Located near Sunnyside, at the bottom of the hill from the house. Drive down in two minutes, or walk down for some brisk exercise in the summer. Firesign is the place to go for cooked breakfasts and lunches that are healthy. Try their pecan waffles. The restaurant is a favorite with the locals so you may have to wait if you don't get there early. (530) 583-0871
Rubicon Deli. A hidden Gem in the Tahoe Tree Nursery on Highway 89, the Rubicon Deli serves sandwiches big enough to split with homemade breads and spreads that create great combinations! Turn on Grandlibakken Rd. and park at the Tahoe Tree Company to access the deli. (530) 583-0579
